Staff Bios and Assignments
In an effort to help our membership better understand what Maingate does, below are the Maingate staff biographies and responsibilities. Tim Perotti and Callie Cripps are full-time staff with the assistance of our part time personnel.
Tim Perotti, Executive Director

Tim is native of Cleveland and a staunch Cleveland supporter who has 15 years experience as a real-estate developer and 10 years experience in municipal governance. Prior to Tim’s recent appointment as Executive Director of the Maingate Business Development Corp., Tim was an entrepreneur and has partnered in building and developing $10 million + in urban niche residential real-estate in Cleveland. Tim was responsible for land acquisition and real estate market analysis, oversight of environmental, zoning, sales & marketing co-ordination. Mr. Perotti’s real estate projects have included award winning non-traditional residential construction techniques on challenging urban sites where environmental remediation was required.
Tim has also served in varying building code capacities and as Building Code Official in various inner ring Municipalities. In addition, Tim has broad urban planning & zoning experience and has overseen numerous large fast track projects though out the eastern suburbs
Tim has an undergraduate degree from Ohio University and graduated from Maxine Levin College or Urban Affairs with a Masters Degree in Urban Studies with an emphasis on real estate development.
Tim has received various architectural ands civic awards for projects built and developed and maintains his active Building Code Official status.
Callie Cripps, Associate Development Planner
As a native New Yorker, Callie attended Monroe Community College and received her certification in Visual Communications in 2003. Prior to her internship, and later full time employment with Maingate, she was a studio photographer and held various management positions in retail. Callie recently graduated from Cleveland State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning & Management from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs. She is a member of the American Planning Association, Cleveland Chapter and the 20-30 Club for Young Professionals.
Callie started working at Maingate in the Spring of 2008 as an intern through the Center for Neighborhood Development at Cleveland State University. Since that time, she has advanced from her internship position and is currently Maingate's Associate Development Planner. She has assisted in the coordination and implementation of various membership and development programs throughout her time at Maingate. She planned and organized both the 2008 & 2011 Annual Meetings as well as many other networking events and special projects. She also provides daily assisitance to numerous businesses within the 5 square mile district in need of consultation, advice and support.
In her current capacity as Associate Planner she has worked with executive staff in the development of the Maingate Wholesale Food District. Her role, more specifically, has been mainly to create and develop,with professional assisting from certified architects, the Maingate MarketPlace and the encompassing Wholesale Food District.
